If you coming by your own vehicle then leave it your vehicle or temple does have locker to deposit. Normally there is always long queue.

All religious places have some dress code. It is mandatory to wear lower below knee length. Shoulder has to be covered. In case your dress is not as per temple dress code. Not to worry they will provide you some dresses on 100 Rupees and it is refundable.

Akshardham Temple is most auspicious that take you back to 1000 years. This temple was inaugurated in 2005 but architecture of temple is from old. All craftsmen tried to get old Nagara architecture in in this temple. Material was used in this temple Sand Stone and Marble. It was all brought from Aravalli Mountain Rajasthan. Red sand stone was brought from surrounding area of Jaipur and yellow light color of sand stone was brought from nearby Jaisalmer. White marble was brought from Makrana.

The mandir is a humble tribute to Bhagwan Swaminarayan (1781- 1830), the avatars, devas and great sages of Hinduism. The Akshardham experience is an enlightening journey through India’s glorious art, values and contributions for the progress, happiness and harmony of mankind. Swami Narayan Temple was built in 5 years with help of around 8000 craftsmen.

Beauty of temple start from main gate. Its known as Bhakti Dwar. Gate of devotion. This gate is full of sculpture dedicated to all Hindu God and goddess. In summer time one can take a break over there. This hall is with full of photos of the temple to get unique idea of this most beautiful temple. You exit through the Mayur Gate. Peacock is a national bird of India.

This temple is perfect example of hindu architecture.

Front of the main temple, there is option both side to take off shoes. Temple, we consider as a house, so we cannot take it in side of temple. Its free of cost.

Outside of the temple all figures and statues are out of sand stone and inside are all made out of white marble. Ceiling of temple give magnificent view. Each and ceiling look different. They all different story of lord swami Narayan. We take a round in the temple clockwise. There are many other Hindu idol belongs to different Hindu gods.

Out side of the temple there is beautiful huge garden. There is many statues of Indian legends from Indian mythology and freedom fighters. It does make worth to take a round of that to understand deep history of India. It shows this temple is on only religious but also give you history of india.

Colorful fountain water show is one of the highlights of this complex. It goes around 25 Minutes but it is breathtaking show. Entrance tickets is 90 Rs per person. Multi-color lasers, video projections, underwater flames, water jets and surround sound in symphony with lights and live actors produce a captivating and inspiring presentation. International experts contributed their expertise with BAPS volunteers and sadhus to produce this one-of-a-kind presentation.

On the exit they do have souvenir shop and very good cafeteria.
